Now, Joshua and Tjostolv’s third Christmas is Congo is over. Sadder than the previous ones because they are now in the Ndolo prison where they are refused to call and barely get food or visitors. Last year and the year before that the boys had visits from two different sea mans priests. They made the Christmas more livable, by bringing Christmas candles, good food, greetings from home and Christmas service in the prison. This year the boys fortunately got some food in from the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army is now the ones who try to get food in to the boys. Unfortunately it’s not so easy. They don’t always get in to the prison. It’s still the same; the families still have to pay for the prisoners’ food, and we are so grateful to all of you who support us so we can give the boys all the help they need. It’s difficult to get in contact with Joshua and Tjostolv, and it seems like its worse where they are now than where they wore. But they had to be moved to be one step closer to Norway. Now I only hope they can be transferred as soon as possible in the New Year.
May 2012 be the year for reuniting and joy.
Merry Christmas to all our readers and a happy new year! You mean a lot to us. And thank you to all of you who send encouraging words on our web-mail. We really appreciate it.
