Minister at the embassy in Angola, Endresen has been in Kinshasa again. It’s apparently the regime in Kisangani that’s holding back the transfer. They are apparently afraid of riots if they transfer the boys. The reason is of course that someone is still hoping for money. It has to be sad to be the government in a country that does not control its own administration. That makes promises, and time and time again can’t make good on the promises.
The Foreign Ministry is really on alert, so we have to believe that a breakthrough will come soon. The Justice Minister is probably going to Kisangani soon, we hope something happens then. We are of course worried about the boys’ health. Not many people would’ve survived under the conditions they’ve lived under for so long! What’s happening in the Philippines at the moment has many similarities with the Congo-case. Corrupt police who don’t investigate the obvious things. Base their case on “witnesses” they’ve paid and leave it up to the accused to prove their innocence. Motive and opportunity is not considered. It screams money of the whole thing. Sounds familiar? VG treats this case the same as well. This is a creepy trend!
