There is apparently no end to the abuse Tjostolv and Joshua have to endure. We can expect anything from Congolese military, we’ve seen that. That soldiers from UN from other African countries can abuse them and help rob them in their cell tops everything.
Norway is one of the biggest contributors to the UN, and also contributes with significant amounts to the UN efforts in Congo. I’ve seen 16% of the costs. So when UN officers commit severe abuse against Norwegians I assume that the Foreign Ministry will contact UN AND DEMAND THEM PUNISHED, and kicked out of the UN. They refused to give their names, as thugs often do, but the boss was a female officer from Kenya. There is probably not many of those.
This person must be arrested immediately by the UN military police. The names of the others must be revealed so they can be arrested as well.
If these thugs aren’t arrested immediately by the UN I think Norway should have the guts to say that Norway’s contribution to the UN is held back until they are arrested and charged.
Major Bwamulunda claims they could have millions in their cell! We’ve seen what kind of fantasies he has regarding money before. During the trials he mixed millions with billions, and he is threatening with execution again. What this man’s incredible hate comes from is not easy to say unless it’s pure racism.
Then colonel Shamari comes and takes the money. Is there anyone who thinks he is not going to steal the money, maybe share with the others?
So what’s the situation now? I understand the colonel Shamari will refuse the helper to buy food, water and medication to them, maybe steal new money as soon as they’re sent. If they don’t get fresh water and food and medication in the prison the situation is desperate. They can survive a few weeks without food, without clean water they will be sick very soon. The situation is desperate!
The Foreign Ministry has to act now! The notes are not enough. Notes are well and good in normal countries. In Congo they have no effect. We’ve seen that for ourselves.
The Foreign Ministry has to demand that UN arrests and charge these UN officers that were a part of this.
The Foreign Ministry has to demand that the money is returned and that they are allowed to purchase food and water.
We know that the Foreign Ministry is heavily involved in a transfer. This case proves how urgent that is. If there is a delay with the money it means that they are out of clean water, medication and food. Then we speak weeks and days rather than months and years when it comes to a possible survival.
