A lot of you ask us why it’s so quiet in the media around Tjostolv and Joshua at the moment. It’s because all the journalists went home right after the verdict of the appeal.
Lately they have been busy with the Nobel Peace Price and the Climate Conference.
The Foreign Ministry hasn’t had a representative there for about 10 days. The seaman’s priest was supposed to be in Kisangani now, but the planes from Kinshasa to Kisangani were so full that he can’t get a ticket until tomorrow. But he will be there in time for Christmas. As far as we know Joshua and Tjostolv are doing ok. They are both physically well as far as we know. The last four days they haven’t had any electricity at all, so that means long afternoons and evenings because they can’t turn on the radio and listen to BBC. I think they feel isolated.
