Emotional support from Ghana - request for clemency

E-mail Print PDF

Today I got a copy of a letter dated June 15th 2010. It’s written by lawyer and author Amb. Dr. Joseph Godson Amamoo. He is the former chief editor of the paper Ghanaian Times. In this letter he appeals to President Kabila to spare the lives of the two Norwegians and temper justice with mercy. He reminds President Kabila that the Scandinavian countries including Norway have given a lot of aid and support to Africans in different ways in their battle against colonization and apartheid. Amamoo has sent copy of his letter to a lot of important people.

On the list we find our own Foreign Minister, the Foreign Minister of South Africa, Mr. Nelson Mandela, UN by Secretary General, the human rights committee in Geneva, (where otherwise a report written by Joshua regarding human rights violations a long time ago was sent – when will we hear what they will do?) and the chief editors of New York Times, Washington Post, The Times (London) and the Jewish Chronicle (London). We thank Dr. Joseph Amamoo for the support.
