Minister Alida Endresen arrived in Kisangani yesterday. The old UN plane she came with crashed when landing in Kinshasa when it returned to the capital yesterday afternoon. There is some conflicting news on how many casualties there were. According to news from a French media 32 are dead and only one survived.
Apparently the vise governor from a province south-east of Kisangani were among the dead. Endresen has visited the two Norwegians yesterday and today. Tomorrow she will return to Kinshasa.
We have some news that can be hopeful, but we don’t take anything for granted.
As I wrote in my last blog the power in the prison has been away again. When the power is out, that means no fan and no comfort through hot days and nights in the cell. They have to light candles to read. Unfortunately the disco outside the prison has a large generator so there is no end to the noise from there!!
What’s made the evenings extra long for Josh and Tjostolv the last few weeks is that they didn’t get BBC on the radio again. Through BBC they get worldwide news and different programs it’s ok to listen to. But the last two or three days BBC has been back. That’s a good thing.
