A merry Christmas is a wish most of us have. Tjostolv and Joshua or their families will not have a merry Christmas. We had a hope that they would come home for Christmas. The settlement has been paid. All legal matters should be in order, but nothing has happened. They’re sitting where they’re sitting. Everyone is on Christmas holiday, with the exception of the Seaman’s church. They’ve been there again. Eternal thanks to them!
This is a strange situation! Sentenced to death in a trial from hell, without any evidence, based and sentenced on lose allegations. They are sentenced to death for espionage in advantage of Norway. This at the same time as Norway assists with significant funds, and forgives government dept. Everything I’ve believed about relations between countries has obviously been wrong. In my naivety I thought that a good relationship should be based on mutual respect, and that aid was accepted with gratitude. It doesn’t seem to be like this.
Now, a lot of people are stranded on airports, and fear they won’t come home for Christmas. It’s not a nice situation, but compared to spending Christmas in prison in Congo it’s almost nice.
Now all resources have been used. The only thing left is that the Foreign Ministry can get them out, we have to believe that. They are totally exhausted mentally, and the strain they’ve endured very few of us would endure.
Everything comes to an end, this case will too. We have to believe its close, and that it’s a happy ending for everyone! I want to thank everyone who remembers them, and think about them!
It won’t be a merry Christmas; it will be a miserable and sad Christmas. We have to believe in a Happy New Year!
