Free French and Moland!

It’s total anarchy in the prison. The police have tried to storm in once. There have been fired sharp shots. There have been fired many tear gas grenades and some so called flash bangs. There is smoke and tear gas, and the water and electricity is turned off. They expect a new attack from the police and military any time now. The boys have helped with first aid to a lot of injured inmates. They don’t fear the inmates but no one knows what’s going to happen when the attack comes. In this situation press officer Kjetil Elsebutangen in the Foreign Ministry manages to state to TV that “they are doing fine under the circumstances”! It has to be the cliché of the decade! How stupid can they comment? How naive can they get?

The Foreign Ministry has had over a year to make sure they got transferred to a safer prison, after the deal was made for the compensation. Nothing has happened. Everyone had to see that something like this could happen. There have been lots of warnings. If the Foreign Ministry used greater force they would’ve been away from this hell hole by now. It’s a shame that the Foreign Ministry hasn’t accomplished anything, not even food and clean water. As the Foreign Ministry says: it’s Congolese authorities’ responsibility. The Foreign Ministry doesn’t seem to realize that it’s probably the least responsible nation in the world! Nothing works, as this “election” will probably show as well. Now we pray with everything we have that they will survive the night and tomorrow when this attack will come, and the next days to come.
