Joshua’s grandfather died in his home during the night, Thursday October 29th. It was a strange day. Joshua was alone in court. His lawyer was accused of conspiring with the doctor and others, to have made Tjostolv sick on purpose. Through lawyer Furuholmen and the Foreign Ministry’s representative Anja Hem, Joshua got the death message after the trial ended yesterday. Now he is alone out there, while the rest of the family can stand together and help each other in this tough time. The close family had a good memorial service together in my father and mothers house. A fantastic priest came on short notice and led the memorial. When Joshua’s grandfather was carried out of his home for the last time, we marked the exit together with good neighbours. Together we said a prayer around the car where the coffin was layed, and the priest read the blessing and together we sang “The name Jesus never fades”. During the last verse of this beautiful song, Joshua’s grandfather was driven away.
I spoke a little with Joshua today. His first question was how I felt. The line was bad, but he mentioned a thing I’m going to look into later when things calm down. We will probably get back to that later.
As our readers will understand there is a lot to be done with the funeral. We will therefore not have the same capacity to write as much as we want.
