Monetary Gallop, by Knut Moland

E-mail Print PDF

”The Trial” continues today November 21th 2009.

Today it was time for the defence attorneys to talk. Kibambe and Likwela probably did their best. I thought they could be more detailed, but that was if this was a real trial. This is so clearly not. They might as well have brought a guitar and sang the song “monetary gallop”. The verdict would of course have been the same. To listen to the bullshit from the accusive  lawyers is just stupid. The only thing they say really is Money, Money, and Money. Next now is the “verdict”. You don’t need to be clairvoyant to predict that!

The question is what’s next? The Supreme Court is in Kinshasa. Will they be transferred there? I hope so, but I doubt it. The boys are leverage for money, and they will probably not let the leverage go easily, and of course do what they can to avoid that. Maybe there are stronger forces in Kinshasa who see their chance to make a profit. I’m not worried about execution, they won’t kill the golden goose, and even these primitive people understand that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they threaten with execution if no one pays them. They will never get it, then they would just ask for more and more. The only chance they have for a payment, is by releasing them and of course after the boys are out of the country. Then they would receive a guarantee that the money is placed somewhere and would get them when the confirmation that the boys are out of the country was recieved. Of course we talk about completely different numbers here; it must be realistic that the boys can pay it back over some years. The choice will then be that or nothing. The danger is of course that the boys die in the meantime from diseases. That should worry them. Dead man = no money.

It is incredible to witness a robbery of the state and an abuse as this case has been. I think a lot of people in Norway have had an eye-opener.
